After this Red Rocks Open Space Family Session, I may just not go back to Garden of the Gods. We had a last-minute change from GoG to Open Space and I’m so glad we did! It was not crowded, and the walk was so short it made everything easier. The Schmidt family were mostly here just on vacation as most families are when they reach out for family sessions. I cannot express however, how much I love older family sessions. Meaning families when the youngest person is above 5 years old.

I have no photos like this when I was growing up so from the ages of 6 and 16, I just have awkward candid shots from my dad’s disposable cameras. Make sure you take the time for your family photos especially when they are at the age where you need to buy new shoes more than twice a year. They (you know who they are) always say to take pictures when they are little because they grow so fast. Well coming from a 33 year old’s point of view on my passed, I wish I had more memories like this on my wall instead of year the 5 year old version.
