Brit Cotter | Wyandotte County Lake Maternity Session
Kansas City Wedding Photography
We can all agree this is an amazing Wyandotte County Lake Maternity Session? Not even a question. I went a bit outside my normal style for this one and I’m not sure I’m going back. I love moody look to all of these images and it’s taken me a while to figure out that this is the direction I want to go. Enough about me, lets talk about Brit and No Name! Ha! because her and her husband want to pick out the perfect name. No need to rush.
You know you meet a person and you just click? I’ve been blessed enough to have the majority of my clients become great friends and when I met Brit, we just clicked. It did also help that we’re both military wives and we just get it. She’s been to places I’m dyeing to go as well as half the time not understanding what our husbands tell us about their jobs.
We started the session pretty late since we all know it’s been so hot and I knew I wanted a certain mood for this. My maternity sessions usually run 45-60 minutes. This was almost 90 minutes. Everyone knows I have a soft spot for Wyandotte County Lake since I grew up 2 miles away and we kept thinking of more things to do. We both lost track of time till Brit’s husband starts to call probably worrying where his very pregnant wife is at 2130 (9:30 p.m).
Brit showed up alone since this is her last pregnancy and I loved it! Reminded me of a maternity glamor shots session for maternity. She was all game for fulfilling any creative idea I had for this session. Such a photographers dream!
Since I know I will be asked. This amazing hunter green dress is from Chicaboo!
