This James A. Reed Maternity Session was a miracle! We were supposed to have it 3 weeks ago but because of weather and traveling, I couldn’t see Amanda till she was 36 weeks! She may have felt uncomfortable but she is absolutely glowing in these images. In just a few short weeks we will all get to meet Carter Smith. I met Amanda at a bridal show when she was looking for a Kansas City Wedding Photographer about 7 years ago. Their wedding and amazing family almost take up most of my site with how many milestones I’ve captured with them. We photographers have a term we like to use for clients we love. We call them Dream Clients. The Smith family have surpassed that term a long time ago. I always feel like I’m with friends during their sessions and I look forward to many more just like this!

Isn’t their daughter Summer adorable! She couldn’t get enough of playing in the grass with Daddy. I almost didn’t try to take any more images, thinking she was done. But I’m so glad I did! We caught the perfect family picture right at the end. I can’t believe its almost been 2 years since I photographed her newborn session. You can see Summer’s newborn session here.
